Q. What should my wedding invitations say?
A. The design of your wedding invitations is down to you, however, there are a few key things that an invitation should include:
- The names of the happy couple
- The wedding venue (and reception venue if different)
- The date and times of the ceremony, reception and post-reception celebrations
- An RSVP date with contact details
- A space for the name of the person or people being invited
- Dress code
Q. Where can I make wedding invitations online?
A. At TradeDigitalPrint.ie we offer our customers templates to help in the aid of your design, build up your own spec and then relax while our experienced team print your work. Your folded wedding invitations will be printed on our high-quality digital presses and carefully boxed and shipped out to your chosen address.
Q. What size should my wedding invitation be?
A. There’s no standard size for wedding invitations although most people don’t go bigger than A5 (210mm x 148mm) or 1/3 A4 (99mm x 210mm). It depends on how much you want to say and whether you want to include images or graphic elements.
Q. What are the different types of folds you offer for folded wedding invitations?
A. We offer three different types of folds for wedding invitations. They are tent fold, half fold and gate-fold.
Q. What sizes can I print my folded wedding invitations on?
A. You can print folded wedding invitations on A5, 198mm x 210mm, 296mm x 148mm, A4 and 420mm x 148mm. Please note, the sizes listed are the flat sizes, not the finished sizes.
Q. What are the paper types I can choose from for my wedding invitations?
A. We offer a wide variety of paper types. Choose from premium uncoated, silk, gloss, recycled uncoated, recycled silk and luxury paper.
Q. Can I order my folded wedding invitations on luxury paper?
A. Yes. We offer the following luxury papers with our folded wedding invitations: Acquerello, Metallic Ice Gold, Metallic Ice Silver, Constellation Snow, Gesso, Laid, Nettuno, Mohawk Felt, Sirio Pearl Oyster, Sirio Pearl Polar Dawn, Sirio Pearl Rose Gold, Sirio Pearl Platinum, Kraft and Splendorgel Avorio.
Q. What type of finishes do you offer for folded wedding invitations?
A. For folded wedding invitations, we offer our customers either gloss lamination, matt lamination (one or both-sided) or no lamination.
Q. What paper options are the best for my folded wedding invitations?
A. We highly recommend that you use our Gesso 300gsm luxury paper with no lamination. However, if you don’t like what we have suggested, you can make up your own specification to get exactly what you need.
Q. Do my folded wedding invitations come with envelopes?
A. If you would like envelopes with your order, then please select this in your product specification. Please note that there is an additional charge for envelopes.
Q. I’m struggling with the layout of my folded wedding invitations. Can you help me?
A. Yes. Please take a look at our design templates and our “Hints & Tips” section. Our design templates are available in a number of formats and platforms so you can choose one you are most comfortable with. Q. Do I need to add bleed and crop marks onto my artwork?
A. Yes. It’s really important that you provide at least a 3mm bleed on all edges of your artwork. For more information check out our Bleed Explained guide.
Q. Do I need to adhere to certain margins when designing folded wedding invitations?
A. Yes. This is really important when you are supplying artwork to us. Please allow for a 5mm ‘Safe Area’ from the edge of the page in your artwork. If you are unsure how to set up your artwork and the size that you are able to work with, then you can view our free template guides to help you.
Q. Do I need to supply fonts with my artwork?
A. No. If you supply us with a Print-Ready PDF then your fonts should already be embedded in the document. However, on occasion, we may request the fonts when supplying files in other formats.
Q. How do I upload my artwork to Trade Digital Print?
